Kitesurf Monday

We will start out by reviewing the concepts of kitesurfing safety and self-rescue. Followed by a discussion of four-line kite operation and body dragging.

Second Flight
Equipment: Four-line kite and directional board.

You will learn (or review) how to to adjust kite speed and power with the four-line bar and to relaunch a four-line kite.

Tasks:
Use the four-line bar and trim loop to control speed, power, and direction of kite.
Relaunch four-line kite in shallow and deep water.
Fly the kite by feel, work precise patterns and fly the kite with one hand.
Body drag with control of your speed and direction.
Body drag with your feet in front of you.
Bring the board from behind you to your feet.
Hold the waterstart position.
Use power strokes to pull you up on to the board and keep you there.
Control of the board and kite as you waterstart.


You will feel the speed and power as you break free of the water.
