Kitesurf Wednesday

I will introduce the concept of waterstarting and controlling your speed once you are up on the board and review self-rescue.

Fourth Flight

Equipment: Small four-line kite and large directional board.

I will show you how to bring the board from behind you and slip it onto your feet. You will then work on getting in to the water-start position and holding that position. Next you will start working on making the power strokes necessary to pull you up on to the board and keep you there. As you learn what to expect as you come up onto the board your ability to control the kite and move across the water will improve.

You will feel the speed as you break free of the water.
