We will discuss wind, weather as well as how to evaluate the safety of a launch or landing site and identify its hazards. Then we will do a final review of safety issues and self-rescue. Seventh Flight Equipment: Medium sized four-line kite and large directional board. Next we will concentrate on controlling the kite to create constant power, then work on your body position and weight distribution to help you learn to hold ground and go up wind. Most students will finish up the week with a downwinder (I will kitesurf with you to provide instruction and support). This will be the second downwinder for fast learning students and will focus on holding ground. You will be kitesurfing and feeling on top of the world. |
